$150
Course Outline
INTRODUCTION
Method validation is a critical component of the ISO 17025 International Standard in determining the competence of the laboratory to perform the tests on their scope. Accreditation is only issued for methods that have been fully validated to demonstrate that the methods being used are fit for their intended purpose. Microbiology method validation raises unique challenges as it is very rare to have reference controls of known concentration which makes the calculation of the method validation parameters more difficult.
TRAINING COURSE
This two-day training course is aimed at all personnel who are to be involved in conducting validation of Microbiology test methods. This training must be taken after the participants have completed the Chemistry training course as the statistics and calculations are addressed during that training.
An examination is given at the end of the training course.
